MAR 250: Marine Biology

MAR 250: Marine Biology

In this course, I learned the basic taxonomy and characteristics of all marine organisms. Each unit was dedicated to studying a specific phylum with marine constituents. In labs, we studied these organisms in detail and learned various lab and field techniques related to the study of Marine Biology.

“This course examines the biology, morphology, diversity, and evolution of marine organisms. Focus is placed on the marine flora and fauna in and along the northwest Atlantic Ocean. Lecture and laboratory emphasize hands-on, place-based, experiential studies that employ field and lab methodologies to explore the interaction between organisms and with the environment. 4.000 Credit hours”
